Lapels Dry Cleaning has built a Franchise Program that revolves around a service that has been around forever and has withstood the ups and downs of the economy. Our Hub and Spokes business model is an exciting way to very easily scale a business with a low capital expenditure and high profit margin.

We begin by building our Environmentally Friendly Plant which also has a retail component to it and allows an immediate income stream. This plant is approximately 2000 s/f and is built to service up to 5 Satellite Stores as well as home and office delivery routes. The startup cost of building this plant is approximately $400k. We then start strategically adding smaller Satellite Stores to the area. The Satellite store can be as small as 500 s/f, but we typically look for about 1000 s/f. The Satellite store takes in clothes and sends them to the plant to be cleaned each day. This is the power of scaling our business, our Satellite store build is approximately $100k and can do the same gross revenue as the Plant store. We then add a van to service the homes, offices and hotels and very quickly start to build a network. The business model is very straightforward - there is zero inventory and a cost of good of 7%!

Our business is very easy to build in every part of the world. Our manafacturers have worked in every country and because there are no perishable supplies - the supply chain is very easy to procure.

Lapels training consists of three parts: First we submerse you or your managing partner in a Hub & Spokes environment for a week. We also have breakout classroom training during this week to train you on recruitment, bookkeeping, running reports, marketing and building routes. Our Corporate trainers arrive at a store the week before they open and work along side them through the opening. And finally our plant trainer arrives the opening weekend and stays through the week of the opening.
