The legend of Sumo Sam has captured the hearts end appetites of Japanese food enthusiasts across Metro Manila over the last six years since the restaurant started in December 2005. It was the brainchild of friends and successful restaurateurs Raymund Magdaluyo, Ricky Laudico and actor Marvin Agustin.
The concept is a reinvention of traditional Japanese cuisine, by infusing Western flair, thus offering diners a vast selection of high-quality and mouthwatering delights – from steaks, noodles, tempura, sushi, donburi, salads and seafood. Considering its success at Shangri-La Mall, Mandaluyong City, they opened another one at Rockwell Power Rant Mall, Makati City. Just last 2009, it opened its third branch at Marquee Mall at Angeles City, Pampanga, and fourth one at TriNoma, Quezon City in 2010, Incessantly catering to mora guests and making more families and groups of friends enjoy the fun dining experience brought by the SumoSam phenomenon.
