Mashcurrie has been around for a few months now but has been largely unnoticed and under-rated. Located in an office-cum-shopping complex at Bopal crossroads the restaurant seems pretty ordinary while looking up from the road. It can totally be missed if you aren’t paying attention and it really underwhelms itself. However once you walk inside the place is really beautiful.
The interiors are fantastically done with a great utilization of the small place the restaurant is located in. It actually feels very spacious and much bigger than what it really is. There are four different seating options – Nice and comfortable low couch booths on the left as soon as you enter the restaurant behind some wood-panelled bars.
The dark burgundy and somber brown colors as well as the low yellow lights add to the entire feel of the restaurant. It feels very classy and they had Kenny G playing in the background to give the place a filmy upscale kinda feel. The interiors are really the best part of this place.
The name of the restaurant suggests a mash-up fusion type cuisine and the menu was just like that. Some really innovative dishes there like Smoked Baingan Bharta Sizzler, Chinese Fondue, Indian Fondue and Mexican Fondue piqued my interest.
