In November 1999, WATCH IT! launched its flagship boutique in Edmonton, Alberta offering fashionable timepieces and high-quality service. It was shortly before that our Founder, Darren Bondar stumbled across a watch boutique in New York City and realized that there was a lack of outlets that offered selection and personalized service in Canada. At the time, watches were becoming increasingly relevant in the fashion industry but were only available at the large box retailers.

Today, WATCH IT! maintains its fundamental mandate while also adding sunglasses and accessories to the mix. Through strong partnerships with franchisees, WATCH IT! continues to flourish as one of Canada’s most well-recognized boutique retailers in the Canadian retail industry. Today there are over 30 locations nationally, all owned and operated by Canadian entrepreneurs.
