RAFFCO Int'l Trading Corp. is a Filipino-owned corporation established in 1994 by the husband and wife team of Erickson and Roxanne Ang-Farillas. Together they developed and marketed a line of women's apparel and fashion accessories under the brand name, Plains & Prints. The brand specializes in casual to smart-casual tops, bottoms, and dresses for women in the 25 to 35 age bracket.
What started out as one 11 square meter store grew to a nationwide network of 35 company-owned and 28 franchised boutiques. RAFFCO's team of designers and merchandisers are directly managed by Roxanne and travel to fashion capitals like New York, Paris, and Hong Kong to keep abreast of the latest design trends. The company uses high-quality imported fabric but has the clothes manufactured in the Philippines to support the local garment industry. The company provides jobs to more than 500 employees of the company and its local garment subcontractors.
In 2007, RAFFCO launched a more sophisticated, exclusive, and dressier line of blouses and dresses under the label R.A.F Rich and Famous. The R.A.F. line is sold exclusively in five R.A.F boutiques in Manila.
In 2008, RAFFCO established a subsidiary, Plains & Prints Pte. Ltd. to pave the way for the brand's eventual expansion within the Asian region.
In recognition of its accomplishments in the retail industry, the Philippine Retailers Association and the Department of Industry awarded Plains & Prints the distinction of being Outstanding Filipino Retailer in its category for two years in a row; 2007 and 2008. Plains & Prints was also recognized as the Most Promising Filipino Franchise in 2004 by the Philippine Franchise Association.
Aside from Plains & Prints and R.A.F., Erickson and Roxanne, also developed other local brands such as She (smart casual apparel for plus-sized women), Space (trendy apparel; fashion accessories for women in the 18 to 25 age bracket) and Fletcher (casual hip apparel for boys & girls 6 to 16 years old). These other brands are being handled by Local Apparel Ventures Stores Inc., an affiliate of RAFFCO.
