The first Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill® opened in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1994. The original vision for the restaurant was to create a menu that featured healthy, fresh Japanese dishes with plenty of mouthwatering teriyaki sauce. This vision is still evident today, as the menu at Samurai Sam’s® features Japanese favorites, including a variety of rice bowls filled with generous portions of marinated, grilled steak and chicken, fresh wok-stirred veggies and steamed rice topped with Sam’s Teriyaki Sauce. Samurai Sam’s is also well-known for yakisoba bowls, grilled egg rolls and crisp fresh salads.

In 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008, Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill was named #1 Asian Fast Food Chain by Entrepreneur® Magazine. In 2007, Samurai Sam’s was named the Top Asian Franchise to Own by Entrepreneur Magazine and was listed #280 in the magazine’s ranking of the top 500 franchise concepts worldwide. In 2010, Samurai Sam’s was ranked #469 in Entrepreneur Magazine’s ‘Franchise 500®’.

Today, Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill has grown to more than 45 locations worldwide.
