In the Spring of 1994, my husband Bion and I put the finishing touches on a business plan that represented our dream of owning a business, and our wish to create a happier place for dogs to stay for the day or night.

The thought of leaving our own beloved furry friends in a kennel just wouldn't do, so we created a plan for a fun, safe, camp version of the traditional kennel. At the same time we were developing the plan for Camp Bow Wow®, the pet care industry was growing by leaps and bounds. A new concept called "dog day care" was starting to pop up around the country, which was an integral part of the Camp Bow Wow® concept.

Soon after we began our search for the first Camp Bow Wow® location, Bion died tragically in a plane crash. I never gave up on the dream we had and eventually opened the first Camp Bow Wow® in 2000.

At Camp Bow Wow® we provide a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! We provide doggy day camp for clients wishing to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers. Overnight boarders play in the day camp program during the day and are kenneled individually at night.

Our customers are committed to us because we take extra care with our furry guests. They receive treats, play all during the day, receive lots of love and TLC and customers can view their pets on the web cam via the internet while they are at work or traveling. We serve an upscale, high-income clientele and have a very high rate of return customers. Camp Bow Wow® has been featured in newspapers, magazines, television shows and various web sites throughout the nation!

Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camps provide a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! We provide doggy day camp for clients wishing to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers.

Overnight boarders play in the day camp program during the day and have their own individual cabins at night. Some facilities also offer a variety of other services including grooming, training, doggy massage and an assortment of retail items, including Camp Bow Wow brand dog bowls, bandanas and more!

Your initial investment will generally range from $60,000 to $80,000, and your Camp start-up costs will range from $250,000 to $500,000 (including your initial investment). The franchise fee, all of your equipment, deposits, training, supplies, initial marketing, advertising, and working capital for your first year of operation are included in your Camp start-up costs. Our Canine Campers spend all day at Day Camp, from early in the morning to late in the evening, romping and playing indoors and out with lots of attention from our well-trained staff! Overnight campers even get special "Campfire" tasty treats each night before lights out, when they are tucked into their own spacious, comfy and clean Camp Bow Wow® cabin. Each cabin includes a comfy bed to curl up on in a climate controlled atmosphere. Campers from the same household can even stay together in the same cabin. In addition, Camp Web Cam monitoring and professional security systems make sure all our Campers are happy and safe!

We serve our Campers their very own food during their stay to avoid upset tummies, and special requests for your Camper, from medicines, extra treats, or special care for older pups and other requests are no problem here - at no extra cost!

We strive to make Camp Bow Wow® as clean and safe as possible for all of our Campers! They must be neutered or spayed, current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (for Canine Cough).
