| The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation is a well known not for profit organization that operates with the objective of promoting the Japanese animation techniques in the US. In order to further its mission, this organization creates extensive platforms for the people and the professionals involved with in the US animation sector to gain a comprehensive knowledge regarding anime and manga, the Japanese animated cartoons and comics. This organization which is also known by its abbreviated form, SPJA, is headquartered in Anaheim, California and it is currently being steered by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Marc Perez. This organization is also responsible for the organization of its flagship trade event, Anime Expo, which has been running successfully since the year 1992.
