Submissions are now open for ÉCU 2014 – The 9th European Independent Film Festival, dedicated to the discovery and advancement of the very best independent filmmakers from around the world. The Festival is competitive and films can be submitted in different categories. Dramatic feature and short films, comedies, documentaries, animated, experimental and youth films, as well as music videos can all be submitted.
 

Films are judged in 15 categories, 7 of which are open to non-European filmmakers (from the Americas, Australia, Africa, and Asia), and compete for 25 awards.

For 2014, ÉCU is also hosting a Script competition for short and feature films.
 

ÉCU 2014 is scheduled for 4-6 April 2014.

Submission fees start from 20 Euro and vary depending on the entered competitive category. No entry fee is required for submitting in the ÉCU Firsts category.

Earlybird deadline closes on 17th November 2013.
