Agra Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Chamber is popularly known as AFMEC. It is a leading Association of Footwear Exporters of Agra, India. It functions to consolidate the sector strength at National & International Forums to synergize the domestic positives with the existing International Benchmarks.
As an International participant, the members of AFMEC ensure a platform of business exchange, thereby ensuring collaborations with foreign counterparts, encouraging sector exports & aligning sector best practices in India & abroad. It has 140 leading Footwear Exporters as its members who have achieved Export target of Rupees 21600 million during 2011-12. Capt. A S Rana, Former President of AFMEC conceptualized 'Meet at Agra' in 2007 to bring together a variety of finished Leather, Footwear Components & Machinery with cutting edge technology from across the world on one platform in Agra. Mr. Puran Dawar, current President of AFMEC gave further impetus to make 'Meet at Agra' an internationally sought after event in a short span of 5 years.
