Ladies and gentlemen, for some of you may already know. The first Kinderland was establishment in 1978 in Singapore and subsequently to Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and China. Today, I am please to inform you that we have just set up the 105th Kinderland center at KwangChow, China. No matter where Kinderland has stepped foot on, it is our philosophy to not only nurture the learning and development of young children but also work with parents and families to provide young children a meaningful and wonderful childhood. This has been consistent for thirty-one years and for many more years to come.
At Kinderland, we want to preserve the excitement and wonders of children’s childhood by focusing on the relationships that young children develop with adults and other children, which are crucial to early learning and development. To achieve this, we plan and conduct many community and family bonding activities such as fund raising for UNICEF-Children Education Fund, family day, annual concert, parental workshop that will allow children to interact with other children and also adults.
I am positive that you will agree with me that the first 5-6 years of a child’s life are a crucial development period, and children who are nurtured during these early years are more prepared for formal education and are more likely to have the social skills they need in later life. As all of us would agreed too, to shape a child’s character, let it begin from the root. At Kinderland, character building is part of the educational programs to promote healthy social skills and sense of responsibilities for each and every child.
