The owners started the business by selling frozen processed meat products like siomai, shark’s fin dumpling, pork dumpling, lumpia shanghai to neighbors, friends and relatives. It was a backyard business known only to close friends and relatives.
Over time buyers have been encouraging the owners to setup a retail store and sell the products on a commercial scale. Encouraged by the increasing demand and market acceptance of their products, they ventured into selling them in cold stores and wet markets.
Eventually they opened a small outlet near a Chinese school still selling frozen products but with an added line of ready to eat and cooked products. Manned by only the owners and one helper, the store gained more followers and satisfied customers. Soon, applications on small spaces were granted and more branches were opened.
