History
The History of D'Tandoor Food Industries can be traced back to the year 1984 when an ambitious and determined young man started working in Northern Indian Restaurant, Shezan in Subang Jaya. The man is none other than Abdul Malik Abdullah, Founder and Managing Director of D'Tandoor International Group of Restaurants.

Abdul Malik is from Penang and had his primary education in Pykett and secondary education in Methodist Boys School. After working in Shezan, Abdul Malik was given the trust to run and operate Shikara which had outlets in Bangsar and Petaling Jaya but at the end, it had to be closed due to economic slowdown. Then, he joined Kelab Aman for 4 years from 1986 to 1990 which was considered the 'commando training' for Abdul Malik and his wife Mumtaz Begum Mohd. Sidek in the process of making them prepared to open their own restaurant and face the real challenges.
